Teseo S.p.A. is a renowned Italian textile manufacturer based in the Como region, specializing in the production of premium Made-in-Italy fabrics since 1953. The company is known for its expertise in natural fibers such as silk, cotton, and linen, offering a wide range of woven, printed, plain, and jacquard fabrics for fashion, bridal, and luxury apparel markets.

Sustainability Highlights

  • Since 2013, Teseo has made sustainability a key priority across its 100 % Made-in-Italy production.
  • The company launched an Organic Silk line and achieved the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification in 2014.
  • In 2021, Teseo obtained the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification for viscose and other cellulosic fibres.
  • The mill includes fabrics made with recycled linen and pre-consumer recycled cotton (Ecotec®) yarns.
  • Their wool yarns are being transitioned to certified options: Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified, mulesing-free or organic wool.
  • Teseo emphasises closed-loop, full-chain responsibility: from fibre sourcing to fabric finishing, all done in-house in Italy, enabling greater control over resource use and environmental impact.

• • Quality, innovation and traceability are embedded: the company is listed as certified on the local textile sustainability body Centro Tessile Serico Sostenibile (CTS) showing its compliance with environmental & social standards for the silk value-chain.
